My first PTO Project.

My son goes to preschool at the local elementary school.  Today is their annual "grand event", and a neighbor on the PTO asked me to help out with a project.  They were looking for a way to display photos taken during the event, that the students can take home.  Here is what I made

The front measures 4.5 x 6.5.  This is a folded card with slits on the inside to insert a photo.  The paw print is cut out (negative space) and the phrase was stamped on using CTMH alpha stamps.  With a bit of help from my cricut and THE PROGRAM THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED-  hehehe...I was able to create a perfect custom photocard.  The card is pretty simple but the real challenge was quantity.  I have completed 226 of these so far, and I am still waiting on the final count from the PTO on how many they will need based on the event.  I think I have a long weekend ahead of me.

Thank goodness for the hardwood floors- I so would not like to clean this out of carpet!

I made two...one for tracy, and one for grandma

I'm a little behind in posting this card, or I should say these cards.  I made this in early September and got them sent off right away, but never found the time to post them.  I hope you enjoy.

Card of the week for Tracy

The card base was cut from kraft card stock using the CTMH cricut cartridge Art Philosophy.   I sized it on my Gypsy to be approximatly 8.5 * 5.5 then scored making a 4.25*5.5 inch card.  The papers used were from my stash, not CTHM But I think they worked well.  I cut the flowers using the CTMH cartridge as well.  To get the layering for inside the card I resized my image (on the gypsy) to be one inch smaller in both height and width then instead of scoring into a card I cut it into two pieces at the score line to give layers for the front and inside.  It is difficult to tell in the pictures but I used the dimensional elements included with the cricut cartridge for the sentiment on the front.  I also cut it out in coordinating paper to add color to the dimension.  The Phrase on the front and inside are from one of the stamp sets included with the CTMH Cricut Cartridge Collection- it comes with the cartridge.

* This project features the Close to my heart Cricut Cartridge Collection, coordinating stamps, and dimensional elements.  The purchase of any of those items through my website would earn you an entry into my current drawing for a prize package.  Be sure to stop back here and let me know if you make a purchase so that you can be entered to win!

Carnival Birthday

OK gals, I have been working feverishly to do some items for a friend's son's birthday party.  I haven't posted much this past couple of weeks because I have spent so much time on this project, but I am thrilled with how it is turning out.  The vast majority of this was done using the Carousel Lite Cartridge.  I also used stars from the Birthday cakes cartridge and a little mystery cartridge "that shall not be named"  HEHE.

The invitations,,,I have blacked out the personal information.
