Pilot's wife

For those of you who don't know, my husband of nearly 12 years is a professional pilot.  To say the least our lives can be quite challenging especially with two little boys.  I am part of a great Facebook support group for pilot wives. A few weeks ago the ladies were posting photos of their pilot wife shirts.  It seemed like I was the only one who didn't have one :(. As a large busted lady - who has a hard time buying tops- the idea of ordering one online was very scary to me.  So instead I designed my own using the SIlhouette cameo and HTV.   Love the finished shirt.

Elegant thank you cards

Recently I realized I was running out of thank you cards in my stash so I created these quick and easy cards today to restock.  Nothing too elaborate, but I love the finished project.

I began by selecting some patterned paper from a 4x6 DCWV mat stack that I already had in my stash.  I love using these stacks for cards!  I made the card bases from solid black card stock and lined the insides with white cardstock.

I rounded the corners for a more finished look

Next I cut some flowers for quilling.  For this I used a Spellbinders die. They are easy to line up on the small 4x6 papers but you could do something similar with other cutting systems

Shapes were cut using the Cricut for the phrase "thank you". Then stamped with CTMH stamps and ink

Assembled with foam tape

Flowers are thn quilled-  I like to use hot glue on my quilled flowers

Then just assemble the cards. And add some bling

Baby card

I just want to share a quick card I made today using my silhouette cameo and silhouette studio   I started with a onsie image found via google image search and used that image to create the base for my shape card.  Using an internal offset I created the layer for the front.  A second internal offset was used for the 'stitching' - be sure to turn the cut off for this layer.  The sail boat image is from misskatecuttables.com.   I changed the text on the banner to read congratulations so that it fit my needs here. I used the print and cut feature for the outside and inside onesies then added a print and cut later with pop dots on the sail boat.  A little glitter and a few brads finish it off

Minions on double wall tumblers

The spring fun fair at my boys school is coming up soon. Each classroom puts together a themed basket to auction off and parents are asked to make a donation.  My oldest son Blake's class is doing a minion themed basket so I whipped these up tonight.

They are vinyl applied to double walled tumblers.

I used a file that I found on okieladybugs blog that I have used before. If you need the file google minions and okieladybug. Just be sure to tell her I sent you :)

Life at the beach

Just a quick post today to show a canvas I made a few weeks ago.  I finally got my husband to put up the shelf in the bathroom and got it in place

Above the tub in my master bathroom

I began by painting a canvas with acrylic paint. The vinyl was designed in SIL studio. Because of the size of the canvas it had to be cut in two sections and then applied to the canvas

Sears tower Chicago

NFirst of all, yes I do know it is now officially the Willis tower. I simply don't care.  Anyway I just want to share a quick layout I threw together this morning

The tower cut wa purchased in the SIL store but I added a base layer and the test. I created the title and date myself using the sil software.
