Today is officially blog day 1. While I set up my blogger account a while ago this is my first post. It is my intention to post daily for at least a week before I link anyone to this site, so if you are reading this before October 8, 2010 you have found this all on your own. Thank you for visiting & I hope to have more to offer you in the upcoming weeks.
So, you may be asking yourself, what is the point of this blog and who is Missie? Well, I am a crafter, a mom, a wife, and a student. My husband, Brian, and I were married in 2002. We reside in the far northwestern suburbs of Chicago with our two boys Blake, 3, and Ian, 2. I stopped working outside the home nearly 4 years ago when I was pregnant with my first son. When Blake was about 6 months old I choose to return to college with the goal of attending nursing school. With two little boys it is going to be a long process, but I will reach my goal eventually.
Crafting is my therapy. I enjoy scrap booking, card making, sewing, knitting, photography, and pretty much anything crafty. My mother has always been craft (sewing, quilting, scrap booking...) so even as a child I had my hand in projects all the time. Now I am a serious CRICUT enthusiast. I love all things ProvoCraft.
The first few posts you will read on this blog are going to be about my preparation for the first ever Cricut Circle Swarm in SLC, Utah. I will be leaving in about a week for the trip. In the mean time I have quite a few projects to finish and preparations to do. I hope to share some of those projects here and will be sharing info about the swarm both before and after the event.
If you are unfamiliar with Cricut you can check out their website at cricut.com and more information about the cricut circle can be found at cricut.com/circle
