Different, yet the same

While on vacation in Florida last month my family and I took a trip to the Everglades.  We took an airboat tour to see the gators and my boys just loved it!  I wanted to be sure to get these great photos into our albums right way (because I often have the best of intention, but don't get the pages done).  Many people think I am crazy, but I often scrapbook in tripplicate, yeah you read that right!  I have seperate albums for each of my boys and one for the family.  So, when I have something really special to scrapbook, I don't just do it once, but three times.  This creates many challenges, and tests my patients and often makes me want to quite scrapbooking.  One of my major challenges is that most scrapstacks only have two sheets of each patterned paper.  This is perfect for one 12 by 12 layout, but what if you want to do three???  I just don't think that having three of every stack I like is really an option, and really where would I store all of that paper?

For this project I really wanted to use the DCWV Safari Kids stack. There were three patterns that I really loved (so six sheets of 12 by 12 paper).  This is perfect for the layouts.  I scrapbook mostly in 8 by 8 layouts.  For me they are less intimidating than 12 by 12, and they give me a bit of left over paper that helps to make the tripplicate task a little easier.  In the end I created two identical layouts and one that is slightly different by piecing together the scraps.

Because the paper is so busy I tried to keep the layouts simple.  Just adding a few embelishments.  The gator (or croc really) is from the Cricut Cartridge Croc's Rule and the title is was cut using the cartridge Birthday bash.  Please tell me what you think about scrapping in duplicate!  I would love to hear your opinions!

oh yeah, don't you love the mess behind my photo area...LOL!
